
2. Strengthening Capacity for Marine Debris Reduction in ASEAN Region through Formulation of National Action Plans for ASEAN Member States and Integrated Land-to-Sea Policy Approach

Main Project Features: This project is under JAIF Phase 2 and will address the capacity development needs in Cambodia and Myanmar with the prospect of a comprehensive package of National Action Plan (NAP) development and capacity development at the local level implementation of NAP. In this project, we thoroughly assess the plastic waste value chain in the city, mapping the evidence, and improving the locations of plastic which are prone to be leaked into the environment. The activities provided the participation of people who use the data collection method and questionnaire involvement in the plastic waste assessment.
Main Duties: (i) Developed a mobile survey application II with ESRI Survey123 for the collection of data by local partners and did the training for the mobile application (3 cities respectively in Cambodia and Myanmar) (ii) Developed the Macroplastic Visualization Platform for the result from the mobile app. This platform is the same as the CounterMEASURE II project.
